Start from Bayahibe aboard a Safari truck… A first exotic stop in the middle of the fields where you can taste sugar cane while listening to your guide tell you about the history and working conditions of the cane cutters. You will then go to meet the cane cutters and their families, in the villages called Batey … Then direction the city of Higuey, with a stop on the way at a cigar factory, enough to taste some products and discover the Dominican know-how !! For lunch you will eat at the Indio, a very unusual place in the middle of the Dominican countryside !! On the menu Cassava, rice, plantain… and the famous river prawns !!! After the meal you will board a barge on the banks of the Chavon River, Let's go for a walk on the river where you can learn local dances… For the bravest among you, you can practice Tarzan diving hanging from a liana … After this beautiful ride on the river, the truck will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in the Bayahibe area!

We begin our tour in the lobby of your hotel, with a 2h and 30 minute drive until we reach the 1st point: Las Cuevas de los Tres Ojos, where you will explore its underground wonders with an expert guide. We will have a stop at the Gran Faro a Colón to take incredible photos, inaugurated by Pope John Paul II and we will visit the great Presidential Palace and other emblematic points of the Dominican Republic. We will continue the tour in the historic Colonial Zone, admiring the Alcázar de Colón, the majestic National Pantheon, and the Catedral Primada de América. We will continue with the Convent of the Dominicans, walk along Calle Las Damas and explore the Amber Museum. After immersing yourself in history, we will pause to enjoy an authentic Dominican lunch in a place full of history and local tradition, where you will learn more about the culture of the area. We will conclude our day at the local crafts and take you back to your hotel.

The excursion begins in Dominicus, through the main road till you enter to a beautiful trail by the sea that takes us to the small town of Bayahibe. There we will see the beauty of the local nature and cosmopolitan style. Then we make a visit to the public beach enjoying a beautiful landscape until arriving at Cotubanama Park. There we will walk a beautiful path that takes us to a cave that was used by the Taíno Indians in pre-Columbian times. In the interior of the cave there is a spring of crystalline waters in which we can freshen up. Then we make a short walk along a path where we can appreciate several plants of our flora and a typical kiln to make coal. We return to the bicycle and end up leaving the park where our tour ends.  Note: you can select the tour in electric mtb or normal mtb.
